Hello, my name is Pauline O’Hara. I live and work in Newcastle, Co.Down ‘where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea’.

I am a Level 3 qualified Tour Guide and World Host.

My principle language is English, but translators can be arranged if required.

I offer visitors both guided walking tours and bus tours in the magical Kingdom of Mourne.  The walking tours can be of various levels of difficulty from an easy  town walk of Newcastle, to slightly harder off-road walks in our local forest parks to more exhilarating mountain walks.

Or alternatively you can sit back and take in the breath-taking scenery from the comfort of the bus. On foot or on the bus you will be entertained by stories about the history of The Mournes and its people. These include amazing feats of Victorian engineering and stories about the famous Mourne granite which now paves the streets of major English cities and the Mourne men who cut it by hand.

The Kingdom of Mourne is full of hidden history: It was the inspiration for CS Lewis’ magical land of Narnia, a training ground for WW2 pilots and is currently still being used for Game of Thrones film locations. It contains many myths, legends and mysteries with stories of smugglers and massacres, connections with Finn McCool and even a gravity defying mysterious magic hill!  And to top it all off it even has a brewery!

Contact me if you would like to experience some of the magic of the Kingdom of Mourne.I can provide you with a suggested itinerary or you can simply suggest your own….I am here to help you make your visit a memorable one and to ensure you want to keep coming back for more…..

“Very knowledgeable local guide. It just amazed me how many interesting things are on our doorstep and we don’t know they are there until tours like this come along. Full of scenery, history and craic. Very enjoyable. Recommended.”
