With some 60 miles of absolutely stunning seascapes and mountain scenery, home to the world famous Giants Causeway and many other visitor attractions, this stretch of coastline appears under many names, “The Causeway Coastal Route”, “The Road to the Glens” or “The Antrim Coast Road”, but one thing stays constant…its designation as an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ”

Visit coastal villages of Glenarm, Carnlough, Cushendall, Cushendun, Ballycastle, Ballintoy and Bushmills, savouring the atmosphere and peculiarities of each in turn eg Steensons Jewellers in Glenarm (developers of the jewellery worn in Game of Thrones), Carnlough Harbour and the tranquil setting of Cushendun with its lazy flowing river and Mary Mc Brides Bar( once the smallest bar in Ireland)

Travel to the beautiful waterfalls at Glenariffe Forest Park or Torr Head (the closest point between Ireland and mainland Britain),or indeed visit Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge or Giants Causeway (Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site) and while you’re in the vicinity why not raise a glass at Bushmills Distillery, still producing quality whiskey since its original grant to distill in 1608.

The choices are endless views, spectacular and the welcome, legendary.

Immerse yourself in the history and culture of this unique stretch of Irish coastline with it’s long abandoned castles, stories of battles and invasions and resilience from a people who for many centuries classed themselves as neither Irish nor Scottish but as a community apart from both with influences from both countries.

Listen to stories of Irish Fairies and other mythical beings which still haunt the firesides and folk memories of the people residing here today…..

Allow John, your guide, a Glensman with a family presence in the area going back some 400 years, to tour you around this serenely picturesque stretch of coastline, introducing you to a glimpse of local beliefs, superstitions and pastimes which make this area unique throughout Ireland. A third level qualification in Irish History and an acute sense of belonging makes this accredited storyteller the perfect companion while you explore the unspoilt beauty which is “The Causeway Coast and Glens “….
