Warrior Walks

Based in the Borderland region of Ring of Gullion and Cooley, I will share my passion for this landscape, its mountains and forests, through its history, storytelling and nature, I have an intimate knowledge of this off-the -beaten-track area with its secret places and sacred sites, legends and tall tales!

Located on the N/M1 corridor between Belfast and Dublin, my walks offer a great ’awayday’ for visitors with accommodation and other attractions nearby if required.

As a qualified OCN Level 2 Guide and Ring of Gullion Ambassador, I have been leading walks for over 10 years.  See the range of my experiences below;

For Challenge and Adventure: Slieve Gullion with its burial cairn, summit lake and mythology, begs to be climbed.

Interested in History? Visit the planted village of Forkhill,  Mullaghbane with its’ hidden Massrock and Famine Village  or Ravensdale, the Demesne of the Lord Clermont and the Linen industry

Drawn to Sacred sites?  Visit tranquil Urney, Killeavy or Faughart ancient graveyards, where saints and poets’ rest.

Battles and Bivouacs:  straddle the Border at Gap- O’ -The -North, where Edward the Bruce lost his head.
