Walled City Tours

Hi all. My name is Terry Brown but when my visitors return home to their family and friends they will always remember me as Terry from Derry, or Terry Brown from Derry Town, or lovely Terry from Londonderry. I use this line as part of my introduction to all my tours and this usually sets the relaxed mood for the informal but highly informative tours to follow.

I received my Certification to conduct tours following a course delivered by the North West Institute of Higher and further Education in May 2000 so have continually been delivering tours for over 20 years.

My enthusiasm for finding out about the history of the local area, its people and stories remains undiminished. I am constantly educating myself by finding out about my visitors interests so that 

I can tailor my tours to meet some of them. My funny, personal stories always amuse people and help relax them even more. I find this encourages them to recommend Derry as a good place to visit and of course encourage others to contact me in particular!

My tours centre in and around the Maiden City but I also guide my guests to the Giants Causeway and Coast, and the most northerly point on mainland Ireland, the wild and scenic Malin Head. These are of the ‘step on’ type.

I have recently launched my new walking tour of Derry called ‘All Kinds of Everything’. This combines my tours of the Derry Walls and the Bogside to give our visitors exactly that, all kinds of everything.
