Guide with Experience & Explore NI and Dander Down

I’m Nicky Jones and I am a qualified walking guide who is about to complete the final part of the Level 4 course at Belfast Metropolitan College. I developed a passion for tour guiding ever since I spent my weekends working as a volunteer tour guide at Twickenham Rugby Stadium, London so when the opportunity to train as a professional guide came up in Belfast there was no stopping me! I just love the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and to share my enthusiasm for all things NI!

I live in lovely North Down and my main tours are “Belfast In Four Drinks” and tours with Dander Down Tours focused on towns such as Holywood and Bangor and the attractions between the two. “Belfast in Four Drinks” is based around the famous Duke of York group of pubs and bars in the Half Bap/Cathedral Quarter of Belfast and is a light hearted take on Belfast’s story by way of drinks that have played a role in the City’s history. I also work with Dander Down Tours who are developing a range of tours in North Down to attract visitors to Belfast to experience what’s on their doorstep. In particular, I am focusing on the vernacular heritage showcased by the Folk Museum as well as walking tours along the North Down coast.
