Welcome to Tour Guides NI, Northern Ireland’s tourist guiding body focussing on quality, training and continuous professional development of its guides. TGNI is spearheaded by a number of established and much experienced, professional guides elected annually from within its membership.
TGNI’s key aim is to train, develop and maintain a cohort of existing and new professional tourist guides to cover all guiding situations and demands. Its vision is to enhance the role of tourist guiding within Northern Ireland’s rapidly growing tourism landscape in line with Tourism NI strategy and policy development.
TGNI has a broad range of expert Northern Ireland Tour Guides in membership, ranging from Site Guides to City Guides and all Ireland Guides as reflected in the selection of tours we offer. Our knowledgeable and professional guides are passionate about our beautiful country and enthusiastic and entertaining in their way of delivery.
Tours can be delivered in a variety of ways and in a large range of languages: TGNI members can offer walking, taxi, driver/guides and coach tours; the field of subjects and interests is extensive. Tours can be tailored to meet clients’ specific needs; TGNI aims to help and guide and will be happy to discuss suggested itineraries.
Please use our “Find a Guide” section to contact a guide of your choice in a number of languages and discuss your itinerary, write to firstname.lastname@example.org or use our online chat with your requirements and we will suggest a number of expert tourist guides to you. Whatever your final choice, you are assured of a quality service from our professional guides!
If you are a tourist guide interested in TGNI membership, you can apply by filling in the web page section “Apply to join our tour guides” under “Membership”, which will explain and guide you through the application process.
